TAG RUGBY TOURNAMENT
Rotterdam Tag Rugby is excited to present to you the Netherlands' very first international tag rugby tournament, The Trying Dutchman! We will be hosted by Sportcomplex Nenijto and can't wait to welcome teams from all over Europe.
Rotterdam Tag Rugby is the Netherlands' first tag rugby club. We were founded in 2019 and have been steadily growing ever since.
Teams are welcome to meet the Rotterdam team and to explore Rotterdam, Amsterdam and the Netherlands for the rest of the weekend.
We will be hosted by Sportcomplex Nenijto, right in the center of Rotterdam. The pitch is just a 15 minute walk from Rotterdam Centraal (Central Station) with plenty of accommodation close by, meaning that you can make the most of your time in our amazing city!
Changing rooms and showers are available and small snacks and drinks can be purchased at the club bar.
All games (and afterparty) will take place on Saturday, 27 September 2025. Games will take place in the morning and afternoon.
The Trying Dutchman tournament is a mixed 7-aside social tag tournament.
We will play according to ITRA social rules.
All registered players agree to our safety and liability rules.
TEAM SIZE
Our tournament will be a 7-aside social competition composed of standard teams of 10 players. Four additional players can be added to the team. a minimum of 3 female players need to be on the pitch at all times.
COSTS
The cost per ten-person team is 650€. In addition to tournament access, the entrance fee covers a BBQ and two drinks after the tournament at Sportcomplex Nenijto. Additional players (and individual players) pay 65€ per person.

We recommend staying in Rotterdam to get the most out of your weekend. The BBQ will be taking place in Rotterdam.
Sportcomplex Nenijto is a 15-minute walk from Central Station and accessible by public transport. Ubers and rental scooters / bicycles are also easy to get anywhere in the city.
The best airports to fly into are Amsterdam Schiphol airport and Rotterdam-The Hague airport, both less than 30 minutes from Rotterdam by train/bus.
Rotterdam is also easily accessibly by train (e.g. Eurostar from London or Paris).
There are plenty of suitable hostels, hotels and Airbnb's available in the city.
